Call The Captain

 More than a decade as a marine accident investigator has given Paul extensive experience in marine investigations of all kinds. Besides a technical expertise of marine accident investigation, Paul brings a deep understanding of the human element as well as organizational factors that contribute to accidents. He has attended IMO and has published work in several industry journals. Paul is also a contributing author for Lloyd's Maritime Academy Distance learning program in 'Marine Investigation'.

Before his work as an accident investigator he enjoyed a 20 year career with the Canadian Coast Guard. During his tenure as a senior officer and Master he acquired substantial experience in ship manoeuvring and navigation in pilotage and restricted waters. His ship-board experience was complemented by several years as Marine Superintendent with the Canadian Coast Guard.

Paul is an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute and a member of the NI IMO Committee.
